Charles (“Charlie”) Garland
Personal Experience
Charlie is a seasoned business owner and sales professional with a diverse background that includes having owned, operated, and sold several dry-cleaning and professional laundry businesses. This firsthand experience gives him a practical understanding of the challenges business owners face when preparing for a sale.
He also brings extensive sales engineering experience in the heavy construction equipment, power generation, and energy-conversion industries—expertise that helps him quickly identify value drivers and assess complex operations. Charlie has owned businesses in premium areas such as the East End of Long Island and West Palm Beach, Florida, and is well accustomed to meeting demanding expectations, consistently exceeding customer standards—a level of excellence he brings to every transaction.
A former founding Chairman of the New York State Combined Heat and Power Council and past member of the Edison Electric Institute, Charlie holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from NYIT and has completed advanced training in natural gas transmission, power-generation systems, and other specialized industrial programs.
His own experience selling businesses gives him a clear understanding of the stress owners face, and he’s dedicated to making the journey easier and more transparent.
